“Serve whole-heartedly,
as if you were serving the Lord, not men.”

Ephesians 6:7

Jesus said that he came not to be served but to serve and give his life as a ransom for many. Becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ involves more than acquiring head knowledge; it requires action motivated by a spirit-filled heart. Each person has been uniquely SHAPE’d by God with Spiritual Gifts, Heart desires, Aptitudes, Personality traits, Experiences in life.

Our goal is to identify, develop and equip you to utilize your God given SHAPE in the service of God through worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry and mission. St. Peter’s supports a variety of ministries wherein your SHAPE can be of service.

In what way has God uniquely SHAPE’d you to serve the Body of Christ?

Pastoral Care

Pastoral care is one of the most important ministries of our church. It's how we respond to the needs and concerns of our congregation every day, and not just on Sundays.

There are phone calls with many pastoral concerns - some want their children baptized, some want to be married, and many call with all the other concerns that we as human beings have.

Other pastoral concerns may be bringing home communion to those that are house bound or in the hospital.  It may be going to the hospital and having prayers with someone who is to be operated on; sometimes it's just being present with someone who has suffered a loss, just being quiet to offer the presence of the church by our being there.

Pastorall care is not and should not be looked at as the exclusive ministry of the clergy!  Pastoral care is what many of you do and should do by virtue of your Baptism - Pastoral care is the ministry of all the church!

The one sure way, speaking for Fr. Charles and myself, that we can't offer pastoral care is if we don't know - we don't know you have been sick, we don't know that you've been in the hospital, we don't know that you've had a tragedy in your family.  We want to serve all of you - but we have to know.

Please know that every one of you are special and we look forward to sharing the love of Christ with each of you.

In His Precious Love,
Fr. Bob
